I also sent this to my friend James, the Marine who's deployment last year got me started on my journey thru the milblogs; I thought you might agree with his response:

"thats a pretty cool story about the easter basket! if someone did that for me i would spaz out, but in a respectful way. i totally understand the man shaking his head on the way out because what we do for a living (military)we feel is just a normal life and we're not any (more)special than the common person. at least that's how we feel. anyhow, hope your easter was good…"

God bless those who choose such a 'normal' life. Where would we be in this country without them(you all)????

Terrific story, Beth & CJ! Thanks for posting it. I've probably sent it to a whole lot more than 15. We'll see if it comes back to me one these days. I appreciate the woman who swiped her card and am so grateful to our Soldiers, Sailors and Marines!

This not only brought a grin but a tear as well. The world is full of good and generous people. They just don't get the publicity the evil ones among us do. God bless that woman and that Marine and his family. And thank your for sharing. I love your site.
