Military Blog – A Soldier's Perspective

PatriotPatriot Must Read

July 1st, 2006 by Patriot

Sorry, I'm not writing a lot lately. I don't have a lot of time. But, I want to pass on THIS POST that I know you'll all love. I know this is a bad time to not be writing, with the new trials and accusations being made against our military, but hopefully CJ or CPL M will address these. If not, try one of our links on the right side.

I agree with the poster you linked to. I'm sure it warms the heart of any military that see it.

I also grew up overseas, although I wasn't around the military. I did see them sometimes and visited a few bases and ships. Because we weren't surrounded by them (and of course didn't carry arms ourselves), we knew we were vulnerable to any sort of attack and would have and did deal with anything that happened.

However, it is interesting that simply the US military's reputation still gave us some protection even hundreds of thousands of miles away. It is a tough thing to deal with unconscionable violence every day, and yet our military does that. It greaves my heart that they have to deal with sniping from ungratefull liberals.

I think liberals think if they can hide in their marble holes, the terrorists will leave them alone. But these people are bent on world domination and nothing less. So the liberals can wear their rose colored glasses until they get blown away.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I graduated from an American high school that was once in Vietnam. Many of our teachers had been through the war, so we had a very different view on it. They told of how when things got really bad, the army (I think it was) sent planes to evacuate the school. They didn't have much notice, and I'm sure many things were left behind. But we knew that if things really came to that again, we would hear the same propellers coming for us. I have always been grateful to the US military for all that they do.
