MarcusMarcus Questions Answered

August 10th, 2006 by Marcus

Bushwack asked a few questions this afternoon, and I feel obligated to answer them. Take a look at the referenced picture before reading my answers.

While surfing the blogsphere and reading Little Green Footballs blog I found this picture. It kind of depicts the mindset of our enemy. The picture was taken in the Palestinian territories. I looked at this picture and thought:

1. If this Muslim/radical idiot were shooting at me would I return fire?
2. The "civilians" are unarmed, but are they unarmed because they are innocent or just because they had only one weapon between them?
3. If I were to kill this Muslim firing at me, would one of the "Kids" pick up the weapon?
4. Would I just create another terrorist by killing him?
5. Should I eliminate everyone in the area of the threat?
6. Could these folks next to him be hostages rather than supporters?

Okay, Bushwack. Here are your answers.

1. Heck yes. I would place a well-aimed shot right between his terrorist eyes.
2. Well, judging by their reaction of complete and utter fear, I would guess they are innocent. However, they could be acting. Or the picture could be fauxtography.
3. Depends. Acting? Fauxtography? They don’t look too ballsy, but I still wouldn’t lower my weapon after taking care of terrorist guy.
4. Nope. Terrorists are not in infinite supply. The ideals may live forever, which I hope they don’t, but they will eventually run out of people.
5. If the "civilians" as much as look at the weapon wrong after it falls from the dead hands of terrorist guy, then I'm opening up on burst.
6. They could very well be hostages. But think strength in numbers. There are five of them and one terrorist guy. I’m sure they could take him without their own weapon.

I wonder how many anti-war commentators are going to call me cold-blooded, uncaring, a murderer, etc. My response to them is rather simple. Put yourself at the other end of that muzzle and tell me what you would do. Giving terrorist guy flowers and a peace button are not valid answers. Nor is CUT AND RUN, CUT AND RUN, CUT AND RUN.

Cpl M, I Figured your answers would be just those.
These questions were more for the "Civilians" like me who might not understand what the servicemen and women are dealing with.
I think I would end up in jail for a disproportionate response. or some BS charge like that.
Thanks for your service my friend.

  2. Cpl M, you can bet I'd answer those questions just like you did. Being a civilian, BUT having been a police officer myself, I can say without a doubt in my mind that in this senario, you bet I'd take out the terrorist guy and as you said, the others if they so much as looked wrong at the weapon once it left his dead hands.

  3. CJ says:

M, I know what they'd do. They'd "kill him with kindness".

Cpl M. I am a 2-1/2 year combat Vitenam Vet.US Army. You are 100% spot on. Your answers are the thinking a US serviceman who know how to stay alive and keep his Battle Buddys safe. In Nam we use to say " If in doubt, wipe them out". Thank you for your service to the American people and to your nation.

There is another uncropped version of this photo. It shows even more children protecting this pathetic excuse of a human being. Here is the link

Cpl M, you kNOW I'm not a flowers and buttons kinda lady. So, I'll just thank all of you once again, for being there for all of us. That most definitely includes you TET68!

  7. GunnNutt says:

The second fauxto shows a kid obviously having a great time! That alone is enough for me to take out terrorist guy.
