Army Checks Cojones At The Door
January 30th, 2007 by Patriot
Yellow-bellied, sorry excuse for an officer, 1LT Ehren Watada (Wetarded 'round these parts) has two fewer charges to worry about. The Army has bowed to the socialists and dropped two charges of conduct unbecoming an officer. Not only have we refused to charge him with the sedition he should be charged, but NOW WE'RE DROPPING CHARGES!?! The media has been relentless in making us believe they are above the law and can't be called to testify when they are part of illegal conduct. He now only faces a maximum of four years in prison.
There are number of reasons I'm a little pissed about how this whole episode has unfolded. First of all, Wetarded has been given special treatment. He has not performed ONE iota of extra duty while awaiting trial for his crimes. He's been given the gentlemen's treatment and allowed to run all over and continue to speak at churches and anti-war rallies, continuing his seditious behavior. If an enlisted person did anything even remotely similar, he'd be painting rocks, picking weeds, performing extra duty, cleaning roadsides, and mopping and waxing floors. This is just uncalled for. The Army is way out of line and I'm not afraid to say it (mostly because I can hide behind my "Patriot" name). I'm sorry, but a terrible precedent is being set here. From now on, I will vigorously defend the treatment of any enlisted person charged with the same seditious behavior if they are given extra duty or other punishments. Military leaders and lawyers should be ashamed of themselves for this double standard.

I know what you mean Patriot! I was sick when I read that. I still say that they should throw the book at the traitor and ship his ass off to Leavenworth.
"Military leaders and lawyers should be ashamed of themselves for this double standard."
I agree, Patriot, but might add that such leaders and lawyers have a lot to be ashamed about in addition to the Watada matter. We're just now scratchin' the surface.
I agree Patriot! But would also add: he says he would go to Afghanistan. So ship him over there. Except I know – siiiiiiiigh – he would probably balk at things over there too, and endanger other troops…
I almost laughed when I read "he defended the journalists"….Oh really?
Will be posting and linking on this one…..thank YOU Patriot!
"We're just now scratchin' the surface."
WHAT!?! You mean there are others getting away with sedition? Please send me their names so I can publicly flog them as well.
Careful Patriot, that jimenez guy might sue you for slander or making public threats. I do agree with you, and think that the army shouldn't bow down and bend the rules for someone of his character. It is like what happens with celebrities who commit crimes. They are let off with small penance when any one else would be spending jail time. Very sad.
