Patriot 2 Missed Calls

2 missed calls
Paulette writes a blog called Rambling Mind. She is also a USO volunteer in Savannah, Georgia and is always there at Hunter Army Airfield when our troops are departing for combat. Her latest post, titled "2 Missed Calls" is very touching and shows not only the humble Soldiers this country employs, but also the Patriotic Americans supporting them along the way. If you don't read it, you'll never know.

Oh my. That one is going to stick with me for a long time. Paulette, thanks for having the courage to call those numbers back and talk to those folks . I'll bet it gave them some comfort to know that their loved one was thinking of them.

Thank You and all the others like you who have given their time and their hearts to the military for all the years that you have served. Trust me. It was and is not wasted time. Many of us remember.

Thanks Patriot for posting that, it is such a neat story!

Paulette, like so many have said here, "thank you" for what you do. You are an inspiration to us all. I know those young men and women appreciate you being there for them. Like the young soldier said "thank you Mam" and he really did appreciate you letting him use your cell phone even though he couldn't talk to his family. It helped him to see that you cared enough to do that and be there. God Bless You and all who help our soldiers!
