Jesus Came From Texas – A Kid's Perspective
September 11th, 2007 by Emily
Every Monday we have family home evening where we do something as family that has a Christian principle attached to it. Yesterday, we played a version of "Memory" where each card was a different person or story from the scriptures. Once a match was made, that person had to describe the story or person featured on the card. My daughter, Hannah, matched the pictures belonging to Baby Jesus.
"Okay, where was baby Jesus born?" I asked my little 5-year old.
Hannah piped up proudly, "IN TEXAS!!" I knew there was a reason I liked Him! There you have another Kid's Perspective.

YeeHa! Next thing you know, this young lady will be boot scootin the Texas Two-Step!
And, Emily, when the Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes are in bloom in the spring, I am convinced that Jesus was born here, too.
LOL That is just too precious!! Love it!!
That is so cute! I never heard that one!
JESUS may not have been born in TEXAS,
but he got here as quick as he could.
As all good Mormons know, Jesus was born in Utah (Orem) and then traveled to Texas before doing a stint in the Middle East.
I have absolutely not problem with being corrected on the traveling points after TEXAS.
But see you, and raise ya!:
If God didn't love TEXAS (UT, espcially) then why is the sunset burnt orange.
