thanks for posting this song i am currently in iraq with A trp 1/158 cav and i was looking for a prayer to say for my wife who will be having our daughter in feburary and i never heard this song but thanks you for the link

I served in the Air Force during peace time, now I serve the Veterans of all branches of service. I have spent four years in Kuwait and Iraq working with the troops and have just returned to Killeen,Texas.
This morning I am reading the Ft Hood Herald a local newspaper, on page 5 there,s a beautiful prayer called "A Soldiers Prayer For The Army" its just beautiful. Congratulations to you on your posting, I love it.

That song definitely hits a heartstring for me as well, as my brother and husband are both former military. You might be interested in knowing that Collin Raye and Jim Brickman are doing a tribute concert October 11, which will include "A Soldier's Prayer."

I have never heard of Collin Raye until now hearing this song, it made me cry, I was linking to this when looking for a poem for my husband who is now sent to Iraq on his 2nd tour.
I pray he come home safely as well as everyone else.
i served in desert storm 1-1 cav wasnt thinking we be back .
From old soldiers too new ones I do pray for you it seems like alot day or night .

this is really a great song does bring tears,have a son been 2 tours in iraq & not sure when going to afgan.all you troops are in my prayers.
