Admin Recruiting Station Bombed

March 6th, 2008 by Admin

Update – HotAir has video of the culprit and explosion.

Guess what radical anti-war rhetoric gets you. This:

Updated, 7:41 a.m. | The New York City police just issued a statement describing the source of the explosion as an “improvised explosive device” and putting the time of the blast at 3:43 a.m.

7:39 a.m. | New York City police officers and firefighters cordoned off much of Times Square for more than two hours after a small explosion — apparently set off by a manmade device — damaged the front of the Armed Forces Career Center on the traffic island bounded by 43rd and 44th Streets, Seventh Avenue and Broadway around 4 a.m., officials said.

The more we attack our our military, the bolder these leftists become. They feel like the general populous will support them in what they're doing because the perception is that it's okay. The irony in this is that the explosion was probably a protest against the war. Go figure. Support for cities like Berkeley and their fake resolutions bear some of the weight and blame for this incident and they should be praying to Jesus that no one was injured or killed.

Hopefully, the cameras in New York City recorded the person responsible and we can find and strap them to an IED on national TV. I'd be happy to set the timer or close the circuit. This was an act of domestic terrorism, plain and simple. But, we will not be bowed in stopping terrorism in ALL its forms and fashions.

The Thunder Run has linked to this post in the – Has the Anti-War Crowd Gone Too Far? This morning at about 3:40 am an explosion occurred outside a very successful recruiting station in Times Square NYC. While no report seems to link the current escalation of force by the anti-war / peace movement I will. First we saw Code-Pink in Berkeley, CA swarm around and set up a continual protest against the USMC. Then we have crowds invading a recruiting station in Washington DC. Now…a bombing of a recruiting station in NYC.

  2. Miss Ladybug says:

Just listened to the press conference. Commissioner Kelly said the IED was inside an ammo box…

  3. SSgtJ says:

Brings back memories of the "peacefull anti-war" crowd that set fire to the ROTC building at Kent State University back in the 70's.

Have any of the Presidential Candidates (say, would be commander in chief) gone to the site and renounced this domestic terrorism? Seems that the next commander in chief ought to support the military and their recruiting offices enough to stand up to code-stinko (sorry code pinko).

  4. Chrissie says:

I wonder what they thought they would prove by doing this?

  5. Miss Ladybug says:

McCain is in FL (I think that's what they said), but he has commented about this, stating this kind of action is unacceptable and calling the person(s) who did this an "idiot". Haven't heard about comments from Obama or Clinton (and I've had FNC on all morning…).

  6. David says:

Who ever did it was a weanie, pure and simple. If they did it during the day time, NYPD would have decked him outright. The mayor didn't seem rattled and our police will have their "Ring of Steel" program, which got the ACLU upset, verified as the way to for for urban protection.

For once I agree with McCain. These people are total idiots. From what I read, they're getting a little desperate, too. Did you see where a bunch at the UNC-Chapel Hill campus passed out fake draft cards & then made a big ceremony of burning them? Big shocka! Do you think they know there isn't a draft any longer or are they just still living in the '70's? I'd hate to think I was that dumb, clueless, and pathetic…! I feel sure that the counter-protests being organized through the internet has them casting around for anything by which they can draw attention to their silly selves. I continue to be extremely thankful for algore's invention and the bloggers who put it to good use. No MSM losing Viet Nam this time around – never again!!

    Miss Ladybug,
I have always liked McCain, now he has proven himself once again. VOTE MCCAIN!!

Anyway, this is nothing short of a terror attack, but I am sure the liberals will pressure the cops not to investigate

  9. Critical Facts says:

    Isaac:

I doubt the liberals – as you say – will press the cops not to investigate, and I think you can rest assurred that will not be the case.

But I might point out that what is fair is fair. I am reminded again and again on this website that it is wrong for me to characterize all military folks because of the actions of a few bad apples. In like fashion, I think it is wrong to characterize all liberals, peace-activists, etc. because of the actions of a few bad apples.

And I will admit, the dude who perpetrated this action is a bad apple.

  10. Isaac says:

    CF,
Ok, thanks for your input, you and one of my mates are some of the only liberals on the net who can give a proper argument on issues. A bad example is Mr. Kent Hoop.

  11. Rich says:

Sure lets bomb the people that keep us alive. Sounds fun.
