Letters From Home

I think it's safe to say that the Soldiers with boots on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan are aware that the American people support them judging by all the letters, cards and care packages coming to them from complete strangers. But, what about those men and women out to sea supporting the effort in the oceans and seas of the world? Thinking Right has the answer!
I’ve got the email address for Project Letters from Home up and running, and have already received several letters. Thank you to those of you who have already emailed and/or posted about this on your blogs.
Once again, I’m collecting letters of support for the men and women aboard the USS Russell – DDG-59. I’m aiming for about 250 letters, so it will be a smaller project than last time. I’ve received word back from the Marines who we sent the letters to late last year, and I can’t emphasize enough how important these letters are to them. It’s really not all that much to ask to sit down and write a short note of support to those putting it all on the line for us.
Please send the emails to letters[at]thinking-right[dot]com.
Surely we can help him get more than 250 letters/emails!! Please spread this to everyone on your email list and let's help flood those Sailors with support!!

I just want to say to everyone that this is not a political issue. No matter if you support the war or not, these troops are heroes and deserve your letters of support, the letters need not talk about the war, but maybe just say a hope that they will come home safe and we know that they are fighting for freedom.
