God Speed, Tony Snow
July 12th, 2008 by Marcus
Like a lot of us, I woke up this morning to the news of Tony Snow's death. I never met Tony face to face, but I did have the chance back in January 2007 to participate in a round table discussion that included him, Brett McGurk, and a bunch of other milbloggers. I vividly remember that call and how strong he sounded as he spoke. My, what a difference 18 months can make.
I really can't believe a man so young can die of such a horrible disease in a time when modern medicine can do so much. Cancer is a disease which will someday have a cure. When that day comes, we should all take a few moments to remember everyone who has passed away. Until then we must strive for the cure. God speed to you, Tony.

Tony is an awesome and down to earth guy. i remember talking to him for a few minutes when we visited the White House. It was his last day of work before Dana Perina (also in attendance) took over. He will be missed.
I didn't know Tony but he did seem like such a nice person. I always liked to watch him report on tv and then when he was Press Secretary. He seemed like such an unpretentous guy and he will be missed for sure. His family are in my prayers! God Bless them all!
