Nobody wants to go to war, that's the truth, but the ones who do, do so willingly so others don't have to. To castigate our soldiers as babykillers and needless pawns is wrong, and 99% of the time, come from somebody who knows nothing about this world, only the fantasyland they come from. Our men and women are over there warding off evil, that much longer. It won't be much longer though, until the current administration waters our dollar down to nothing, destroys our national integrity, and shreds the Constitution the rest of the way. When he succeeds in shredding it, and forwarding his racism and hatred for Jews the rest of the way, it'll be LIGHTS OUT. We'll get hit by the worst terrorism this nation has ever seen, and they will rob us of our sovereignty. It's happening before your selfish eyes….and you aren't smart enough to figure it out. Give the troops a break, because they have more willpower and more balls than the wanna-be idiot lawyers on this website. You take your LSAT and stick it where the sun don't shine…..

Don’t knock someone for trying to do something positive even if its not up to your standards. Kid Rock, well Rocks but not as much as the people supporting are nation in the armed forces. I got the real meaning of the song/video and I appreciate those who are over seas and at home and, I appreciate Kid rock for sharing/spreading the same message.

SGT Atcitty, I'm a uniformed liberal (though in your defense I think you meant uninformed which I'm not). Why does the concept of being a liberal and a troop supporter seem so incredulous? Heck, I am both a liberal and a troop supporter (and moreover an actual troop currently serving in Iraq).

Do I think Kid Rock represents Army values? Eh. I can see why they picked him for the ad campaign though and by all accounts he's shown real support for our guys. Can't vouch for Mr. Earnhardt. In fact, other than driving a car with the Guard logo and presumably paying taxes I'm not sure how he even fits in this commercial at all.

My real beef with this is the truly farcical part at about 1:44 where the good VC hops out of his truck to kick that kid the ball. In real life that might be where the IED would go off or when the little Iraqi/Afghani kids would start pelting the snot out of those idiots with rocks and hunks of brick. 100% the case everywhere? No but not too far off the mark in some parts of the country.

I get that the point there is to show, Hollywood style, that we aren't empty headed brutes willy-nilly shooting the place up and running over little kids in the process. Sorta "Hey, look! Our boys are compassionate." It's true. We are. But rather than that silliness why not show us doing stuff we actually do. Passing out humanitarian assistance packages, blankets, food, toys and yes…soccer balls? And I saw this mentioned in an earlier comment but what's up with there being no women in this?

Last thing, showing those stupid HMMVs rolling in a convoy through hostile territory with like twenty feet of dispersal in between them while the gunners collectively flag the guy in front of him is just plain dumb. Couldn't they have hired a military adviser for this? Nitpicky? Maybe a little and definitely why my wife hates watching movies with me but come on, you know?

Hey Top, keep up the fight!I just love to hear ignorant uniformed liberals blab about how we should talk to people like Saddam and Kim Jong iland ask them over and over nicely to comply with international law.And be peaceful .The same ignorants that honestly believe the conflict is about al queada.And the war in iraq has anything to do with Osama Bin Laden.
About kid rock,saw him in germany before my first iraq deployment.He is doing a lot more for troop moral those pot smoking ,crystal worshopping hippies.and their bitching.

Also anonymous post oct 13.if your making only 1,000 a month obviously you never been to combat so STFU.and about your exausting 12 hr days,come fly dustoff,24/7 2 to 4 hours of sleep a day.I've only had a week and a half off in the last year and a half,no internet,phone.And I still got an education by mail.Get off your ass and stop complaining.

I am a little amazed at the animosity between Americans these days. America is a country founded on God, and since the day that Adam and Eve took a bite of that apple, Human kind took it's biggest fall and war unfortunately has been a part of our history ever since. Not only war amongst the Nations, but also war within ourselves.

What we all need including myslef, is a bid dose of Humility. Someone once quoted "if two people are being completely humble, it is impossible not to get along.

Now i don't want to step on anyone's toes when it comes to religion, but we need to be praying to the one and only God Jesus Christ. I have been to many countries, those which represent the Muslim, Buddhist, and Spiritist, and i have seen and experienced a lot of things. I have seen the work of the enemy (Satan) in person. I am just a humble believer in Christ, and i pray for our nation that the wool shall be lifted from our eyes, and that our Nations truths will be found in Christ. I praise God for my Freedom that has been fought on my behalf, and i pray for the soldiers that God has a plan for them as well, I praise God that i don't have fear for my life everyday i wake up, that i can go to college, have clean running water, marry and pick my job, have equality. None of this is free. It is a gift from God that was bought for a price, and that price was Jesus Christ. He was the biggest sacrifice. I was told recently that America is the Great Toilet. Lets start one day at a time, one decision at a time, to Love one another, and stop the malicious comments about each other. Really, pick up the bible, and read the 10 commandments and see how if we at the minimum could follow these rules, how much better this place will be. Blessings, Respectfully, Jacque.

anyone have trouble downloading the song and then actually playing it? I have itunes and windows media player. I don't know how to get it in itunes and WMP says something about the file being written in codec?

Wow, Nancy. I can't say I've heard more ignorant statement because I have. But this does come close. No one will ever accuse Kid Rock of being a "leader" in this country. If it's possible for you to check your socialism at the door, look at the song for what it is – a tribute to our National Guard Soldiers. I just rewatched the video and can't find a link or suggestion anywhere to go watch his other videos. Are you suggesting that only "perfect" Americans can support our troops? You go ahead and keep your job doing whatever it is you do that is making America great. We've got it from here. I think we'll be fine without you.
