CJ Switching from Google

I've seen the bing.com commercials, but never put much thought into it. Then a friend asked me to check it out. I've changed my search engine to www.bing.com rather than www.google.com. Bing is as good as Google (if not better), and since Google has historically declined to honor our veterans with its "Google art" or our flag or our country on most occasions I've switched to Bing. Why? Go to their website. Not only do they have a big ol' US flag there (ON FLAG DAY), but a series of links people can use to learn about why we celebrate Flag Day.
Please get the word out.

I switched from Google a long time ago because I was annoyed by their what they selected and left out for their news page. Very telling. I've been using yahoo, but will check out bing for sure.

I am beginning to wonder if what you all refer to as "patriotism" is really "nationalism" in disguise. Indeed, I have never seen a bunch of commentors so hell bent on either "you think like we do or your thoughts/opinions are wrong and unpatriotic!"

Might be these people are glad that we have a country that let's us worship the way we want (or not at all for that matter). Could be a pretty good excuse to show support with the pledge.
Some people want freedom FROM religion. And want to force that on all of us. Isn't that just as bad as forcing a specific religion on everyone?

You crack me up, CF. When have you ever taken your own advice on that? But, thanks for the laugh. I love your sense of ironic humor.
The Constitution is the Constitution. It is not a flexible, bendable thing that changes with the time. That's why the founding fathers put in ways to amend it and made that process difficult – to prevent people like you, Obama, and Bush from changing it on a whim because it doesn't suit your goals.

After your wife finishes pummeling you, come back and tell us again how the equal protection clause of the 5th Amendment does not flex and bend according to societal norms.
CF, what does the 5th Amendment have to do with equal protection and vice versa? Good thing CF doesn't stand for "Constitutional Facts".
Oops. Got me there, cj. I confused the due process and equal protection clauses for a moment, both of which have a rich history of interpretation depending on current societal norms.
CF, I think you are confusing societal norms with judicial preference. Last time I looked, "the people" have no say in how SCOTUS forms opinions. I'm for term limits on the courts, too.
Thanks for the 411, CJ. I love Bing. It's been as efficient as Google ever was. I actually prefer their layout over Google's.
I'm as patriotic as the next guy, but Google gets me what I need. My company converted all browsers to use Bing and I don't find it as accurate. I don't use them for news as I like to cull my own and don't need someone to do it for me.

I'm liking the bing! Been putting it through the paces and it's working out just fine.
Also, what I just noticed was Bing has an easy-to-access feedback feature unlike Google. So if you have input or a dislike or whatever then you can actually send it to Microsoft. Google makes it unusually difficult to send them feedback. I suspect Bing wants to perfect user-searches so offering a feedback feature helps to streamline the process.
