Attention all Pro-Military Supporters

The Troopathon 2009 event starts at 4pm EST.
Move America Forward (MAF) is the largest pro-troops grassroots organization in the United States committed to supporting the brave men and women of our military and their efforts to defeat terrorism. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, we are dedicated to preserving America’s heritage of freedom and liberty. MAF was formed in early 2004 by the Honorable Howard Kaloogian and acclaimed media personality, Melanie Morgan.
Since its inception, MAF has organized several national tours, hosted dozens of rallies in cities across the country, and produced many television and radio advertisements—all to support our troops. We also led two trips to Iraq to showcase the great work of our troops and to bring our message of thanks and support directly to the troops.
In 2008, MAF organized the unprecedented internet telethon, "From the Front Lines." Working with television, radio and print media stars and celebrities, as well as popular internet bloggers, and the cutting edge company UStream.TV, we raised over $1.5 million for care packages. Orders from our first 'Troopathon' exceeded 12,000 packages. We have shipped over 100 TONS of goods to the troops since our care package program started in 2006.
We are continuing our efforts to support the troops with a new 'Troopathon' for 2009: "Honoring Their Service."
There is also some sort of Blogging competition, the Blogger Shootout, to see who can raise the most money. Here is a link to read more about that and how you can contribute that way.
Some of you may wonder the impact of care packages on the troops. I can tell you that it goes a long way when you just want something to remind you of home and to bring some normalcy to an abnormal situation. You can argue the policies all day long in politics, but the troops serve no matter what ideology or Party is in charge of America.
