Admin Anti-War Movement Full of Liars

August 6th, 2009 by Admin

The AP is at it again, writing stories about what the troops of IVAW do to keep themselves busy or deal with their pain instead of balancing these stories with those of troops who support our efforts.

In an article from the AP yesterday, Zach Choate is quoted as saying he is not anti-war or antimilitary.

"I'm hoping I come out of this a little more whole, a little bit more at peace," said Choate, who was a gunner in the 10th Mountain Division. "I'm not an anti-war, antimilitary person. This is just me fixing me."

That's quite interesting. I would think that Russ Bynum, the AP "reporter" here would do his job and get to the bottom of statements like this before posting them. Unfortunately, the media's job isn't to be unbiased but to represent every possible negative story it can find against our combat efforts in the Middle East.

Before I go further, let me state for the record that members of IVAW have every right in the world to oppose the war. They have earned their rights to say and believe anything they want and I don't want that taken away. Of course, they DON'T have a right to refuse lawful orders to deploy regardless of their feelings on the conflicts.

What I do have a problem with is misinformation and outright lies. Choate is a member of the subversive group, Iraq Veterans Against the War. Last year, he spoke out publicly against the war in Iraq. He's spoken out all over the place against the war, including ovetly Socialist websites.

So, why is Choate lying to the AP that he is not anti-war or antimilitary. I agree, he's probably not antimilitary, but not anti-war? He's a member of Iraq Veterans AGAINST THE WAR for goodness sakes. Was that too difficult of a link for "reporter" Russ Bynum to make? Maybe he should go back to reporting on Girl Scout Cookies sales.

Well, thankfully the founding fathers didn't prohibit ignorant Americans from enjoying the freedoms our Constitution provides.

For you Constitution-hating morons out there determined to ruin my life, this post is nothing more than my opinion as an American citizen and not as a representative of any branch or unit of the government or military.

Ah, I see. Notwithstanding the 1st Amendment that you appear to support, Americans are nonetheless "ignorant" for using their 1st Amendment rights. There appears a rather more than subtle disconnect in the top post – almost schizophrenic!

    • CJ says:

Hey, CF, ignorant people can use their first amendment rights just like us intelligent people. I mean, hell, you're a perfect example of ignorant people being able to express your opinions freely.

    • Critical Facts says:

There is nothing "ignorant" about being pro-peace (or anti-war). And that you (and your sidekick Ms. BL) would call me ignorant for being such – or saying such – speaks volumes!

      • CJ says:

It does speak volumes. Glad you noticed. And by the way, I'm pro-peace. Which is why I'm in the military to kill people who are threaten it!

        • Isaac says:

          CJ,
Great way of putting it CJ. Fully explains why people like us do what we do.

          CF,
Do you get notes from the terrorist groups saying something like "Do not stop us from getting ready to blow you up. If you stand down we will just pass on.–Signed, The Hadji Terrorist"

The worst part is that when you people do get such info, you actually believe it.

        • Critical Facts says:

          Issac:

And just what part of my comment referred to terrorists? I think your single-minded partisanship is getting the better of you.

        • Isaac says:

          CF,
I was talking about the people who you don't seem to mind taking away YOUR rights.

And BTW, my "partisanship" is far from what you think. I'm not an American. If I was like you fellows I would have call you a "racist" long ago.

  2. MissBirdlegs in AL says:

CF, you never offer anything useful, only criticism. Why do you bother coming over to this site? You're like a two-year-old who just wants to aggravate the adults.

Sorry, CJ, I just can't figure out why you mess with him.

  3. Bryan Casler says:

I think you have interpreted his statement wrong. It logically makes sense that someone could be against the Iraq War but not be against All War. I mean, I am against Drunk Driving, but I am not against All Driving.

    • CJ says:

Twisted the way only an IVAW member can twist it. Bryan Casler, everyone. The man that goes around talking about how Soldiers disrespect Iraqis and Afghanis without talking about the love, care and devotion countless others show! The man who would rather make our military look like incompetent morons (like some of them truly are) by highlighting the few bad bulbs than being a REAL Marine and highlighting the many great things we're doing. Bryan Casler everyone! This is the man that "had the guts to say what everyone was thinking" when he called a general to task for making him live up to his contractual obligations set forth in the contract he voluntarily signed that obligated him to 8 years of military responsibility.

  4. Who is he trying to placate by being a part of IVAW and then saying he's not anti-war. Does he means he's not against all wars, just the ones right now? If that's what he means, then it's all very self serving and that's not the traditional stance a true anti-war person takes.

Because really, it seems to me –he's "fixing himself" in the easiest of way: by getting caught up in a movement because they provide a hoard of supporters rather than striking out on his own and working out the questions and doubts he has in a reasoned way. It just seems like a shortcut to really figuring out what's to fix, and how to do it.

  5. Truth says:

"It does speak volumes. Glad you noticed. And by the way, I'm pro-peace. Which is why I'm in the military to kill people who are threaten it!"

You realize that saying this is basically saying. I support peace by killing everyone who disagrees with my values. My, now that's very reasonable and understanding of you! Sorry but with that view peace will never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ever (get the point) happen. Peace is dependent on our ability to accept and understand humanities differences. Not our ability to blow each other up once we decide that someone is a "threat."
