Admin Marine To Travel To Antarctica

September 15th, 2009 by Admin

Well, he says former Marine, but you know. John Phillips is a former Marine who's traveled the world during the his military service. He's since left active duty, but now he wants to go to Antarctica and you can help – without paying a cent!

I traveled quite frequently with the US Marines. As you can imagine, there was little time for sight-seeing and even less for journaling my experiences along the way. Many of the places I have visited are blurry or filled with experiences I'd rather not remember. But all of that can change with your help!

I only have one continent left on my list, and that is Antarctica. I've been around the tip of Chile, so close that you can see the chunks of galacial ice floating in the ocean, but as they say… close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenandes.

I could tell you a million other reasons why I want to go… but it all boils down to this: If you enjoy reading about a person who is naturally inclined to doing things that most people would consider crazy, if you like photos of nature and the untouched beauty of a continent that is mostly untouched by humans, and if you like reading intelligent posts with a bit of witty humor, then you will enjoy my blog entries on this trip.

I hope you will send me to Antarctica, and I look forward to being your eyes and ears on the trip.

John

So, how can you help John? It's as simple as the click of a button. Unfortunately, you'll have to register to vote, but that's to ensure that you only vote once. John really needs your help. He's falling grossly behind in the contest which ends 30 September SO YOU NEED TO HURRY AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND VOTE!!!
