WAAY-31 Covers Williams Middle School Incompetence
November 6th, 2009 by Emily
Yesterday, I was interviewed by the local media about our treatment by the school and their attempts to destroy Cj's career. Cj was not interviewed – he was at work at the time and fears retribution if he is. Last night, Cj and I went to the school board meeting and Cj was finally allowed to speak. After he spoke, the people in the room gave him a round of applause and board members expressed their displeasure with the way he was treated. He provided them with a complete copy of his statement since he didn't get to finish. There is a 4 minute limit on speaking and Cj still have a few more paragraphs to go. Maybe I'll publish his speech to the board later if anyone is interested.
He was very professional, respectful, poignant, and articulate – exactly how he would have been had he been allowed to speak to the PTA. I am so proud of him standing up for himself and our kids.

You guys are amazing. Thank you for all you do…. and hang in there.
Great job emily!!!! CJ – glad you finally got your say! Hang in there guys!
Really good news to hear; CJ was finally able to speak at the Board meeting! Sounds like, hopefully, this is a positive step in the right direction for you guys.
Great job in the interview, Emily. You guys have been spot on through this whole ordeal. I have sooo hated that you guys have had to go through this, I definitely can empathize. (Our deal ended up just fine, I have a good feeling it will for you guys, as well.
)
You guys can definitely be proud of the good job you've done with this!
I'm interested in CJ's full speech to the Board, if you want to publish it. "professional, respectful, poignant, and articulate", is the ONLY way I've ever heard CJ be!
You said my thoughts exactly Shannon!! Thank you!
Great interview Emily!! You and CJ have never been anything but eloquent, respectful and professional as long as I have known you. What this school administration has done to you is unconscionable. Each and every member who participated in this tragedy should be taken out to the woodshed and be taught the lessons of a life time, and then summarily fired.
If any of you are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourselves for what you have done to VERY good people. Life is a circle and you now have some VERY bad Karma coming your way.
I too would be interested in reading CJ's speech Emily!
Now all you need is the biggest apology EVAH from the PTA and the US Army (specifically CJ's command).
Great job. Emily, you did fantastic in that interview.
Excellent interview Emily! I too would like to read CJ's speech..
Great interview Emily. You and CJ have handled yourself admirarably thru all of this. Lets hope the Army does the right thing by CJ
[...] Also watch this broadcast from a local TV station in the Huntsville area, soldierspersp...ncompetence/. Read a very good breakdown of everything here and watch the video of the meeting here, [...]
The Army will never apologize for anything, as their officers are a bunch of politically correct homo's. Now… if this had been a sailor, and they called ME about him, I'd have told them I have bigger things to worry about than tattle-tale issues, because I do.
Sorry about this CJ… your chain of command has failed you. Join the navy.
Let me get something clear though. Good on him for not replying on the air; that would only make him look unprofessional, and would have given the losers that he works for one more thing to bitch at him about.
