Reform Congress
January 1st, 2010 by CJ
A friend sent this to me and I think it has merit. Finding sponsors for it in Congress would be impossible considering we don't elect representatives, we elect career politicians. In today's day and age where both Repugnicans and Dumbocrats (crap, I'm not supposed to say that am I?), they're both tearing this country apart and their only idea of reform is voting for the other party. My comments are in italics if I have any.
Congressional Reform Act of 2010
1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.
A. Two Six year Senate terms
B. Six Two year House terms
C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House termsServing in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. (I agree that Congress needs term limits, but not a six year term. When I initially joined the Army, I signed up for six years. I didn't know what I was doing and just wanted the largest enlistment bonus at the time – a whopping $6,000 for six years. Unfortunately, I wasn't too pleased with the job, but I was stuck with it for six years!! Can you imagine if we elected everyone to six year terms and had to live with that decision for that long before we could do anything about it?! It's bad enough we have to put up with certain Senators for that long, but that's what the Constitution says, so we make the most of it. Two or three year terms for no more than 12 years is good enough. Probably three, though, so that our already lazy citizenship doesn't feel so overwhelmed with have to vote so often. Heaven forbid.)
2. No Tenure / No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. (Not only that, but the Founding Fathers also never envisioned a full time Congress. The problem with our full time Congress is that they have to create work to justify their existence, which means more useless laws and infringement of our liberties. Congress should also go back to being a part time entity, pay reduced, and no pensions. Article I, Section 4 states that "the Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year, and such Meeting shall (be on the first Monday in December). This was changed by the 20th Amendment to read, "the Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3rd day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day." Instead, our Congress meets once and just stays there, stinking up our nation's capital and ignoring its citizens.)
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home and back to work.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans. (I would also say that anything that forces Americans to buy into something MUST include Congress as well. They aren't putting their lives on the line for anything like our Soldiers are and don't deserve any special privileges from the public. They public deserves to be served by people to volunteer to do it.)
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. (I would add that any pay raises be tied to national elections and placed on the ballot. Let the American people decide if Congress deserves a pay raise and how much. This would be more motivational for Congress to raise their approval polls out of the toilets and remember why they are there in the first place. There should also be a law that any approval ratings under 30% are automatic disqualifiers for ANY pay raise, voted on or not. Of course, our government would just find a way to cheat the system, which is why a vote would take care of that eventuality. Pay raises can only be considered every other election cycle. These changes should not be passed by law, but written as a new amendment to the Constitution.)
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. (I can't agree enough. Plain and simple – Congress gets no special privileges the general public doesn't get.)
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work
7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11 . The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
I would add a ninth:
9. Pork barrel additions and amendments MUST be pertinent to the legislation being considered. For example, in the 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill, there were over 1,700 pet projects that had absolutely NOTHING to do with defense like:
∙$5 million for a visitors center in San Francisco
∙$23 million for indigent health care in Hawaii
∙$18 million for the Edward Kennedy Policy Institute in Massachusetts
∙$1.6 million to computerize hospital records in Oakland
∙$47 million for anti-drug training centers around the country
∙$3.9 million grant to develop an energy-efficient solar film for buildings
∙$800,000 for minority prostate cancer research
∙$3.6 million for marijuana eradication in Kentucky
∙$2.4 million for handicap access and a sprinkler system at a community club in New York
There were some debatable pet projects like $20 million for the World War II Museum in Louisiana that would possibly fall within the guidelines. Lawmakers also added $5 billion for two destroyers, 10 C-17 cargo planes and to develop a jet engine. There were also some projects for military vehicle upgrades and stuff like that. Those are fine in a defense bill. In all, there was over $4,200,000,000 work of pork in the defense bill.

Excellent post CJ.
It is amazing that the American People let this takeover and disregard for our rights go on for so many decades. It is not just because were lazy but because we were all trying to get our piece of the American Dream and working damn hard at it.
Also because we basically are a trusting people, trusting to the good hearts of others because we have good hearts. Well, the incremental takeover of our freedoms and libertys have shown that we have had bad judgment and have lapsed in our responsibilities to our Republic.
We have a lot to fix and it is every American's Responsibility to see that we guide and protect our Republic back to the way our Founders died for and intended her to be.
Papa Ray
"The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed – where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once."
2009 Judge Alex Kozinski
With all due respect to the Judge, I disagree ,Papa Ray. Refusal to "stand" for re-election is a Parliamentary system notion. The English system under which we suffered for 150 years prior to the revolution. We thank heaven, are now a republican form of government. Judges don't make decrees under our system, they issue rulings. That is a clear distinction from the oppressive system from which we sprang. However, we do agree upon your last statement as to the consequence.
This link provides ample argument with Federalist paper and founder citations and subsequent court rulings as to the purpose, intent, and inviolability of the second amendment. The more I learn each day of the wisdom of our founders, the more amazed, and humbled I am to be an heir to it.

CJ, you keep this up, people are going to believe you really thought about this. For me, it was bad enough to hear I needed to get my head examined. Then I was told it would be done with a microscope. Conclusion, "Don't worry, we didn't find anything." Yes, they were inside my skull.
These are only my views, don't blame CJ, he's better than that.
Every time you use the word "Congress", use the phrase, "All Duly Elected Officials, Their Duly Authorized Agents and Staff". This would include both Congress (Legislative or Writes the Laws) and the Executive Branch (applies those very same laws, itself).
Repeal all "Executive and Congressional Privileges". There is a retroactive component to this aspect. I am not just looking for punishment, more for transparency, with no "Statute of Limitations".
If this Nation ever needs to go to war, we should go the Constitutional route, with a "Declaration of War". We should actually repeal the "War Powers Act". We should never send our Military to war and our civilian population to go shopping.
You want to normalize Congress/Executive operations, but this is the only way we can begin.
CJ, I have a great deal of respect for you to even begin to tackle this behemoth.

Right on!!! So what should or could be done to get this implemented? Making this very public and keeping it that way is hard, what with the media being vultures. As soon as someone goes into rehab it will be forgotten. There are reps who have integrity. Sadly there are only a few. We can only dream of having the America we are told we live in. (xit with founding fathers rolling in graves).
Brown of Ohio is one of them. Agree or disagree with him, you have to admire what he's done. Every day the Senate was in session, he read letters from his constituents about their concerns into the record. That is what a Senator SHOULD DO!
I think the first thing we need to do is eliminate ALL political parties. This way, people who believe on thing won't have to vote for the opposite just to keep their party's support.
Second, on behalf of Connecticut, we apologize for Lieberman. He makes our great state look bad. (Even though I didn't vote for him.)
I've got to find out where Lieberman gets his juice from…

I agree with reforming Congress, but would like to know how. We all complain about them but no one has a real way of changing the problem. It would be great to stop them with some type of damage control.
Gwen, it's simple. We need people who are upset to run for local and state offices. We fix the system at the ground roots level. The federal government only has as much authority as the states give it. The states created the federal government, not the other way around.
We need conservatives to run for local school board, city councils, district judges (some don't require a law degree), and other state and local positions.
Can I replace "conservatives" with "patriots". For as many self-described conservatives who claim to be devotees to Reagan and then spend out economy into oblivian.
NY-David
Ah, CJ, sometimes those "pork barrel" things solve problems.
Here's an example:
It took the Senate 2 months to pass an Unemployment Extension, because the Republicans held it up. It passed with a vote of 97-0. (I know, hold it up then pass it unanimously? Weird.)
In a rush to get over 20 million people their much needed aid, they forgot something. Part of the program expired on December 31, 2009.
This was going to kill the extension they just passed. So, what did they do? Rather than start a long process putting through a new bill, they just added an amendment onto the Defense bill which extended the program.
Cost: $ 0.00
Affect: 20 million people were able to actually have a Christmas this year.
Ok, a bit dramatic. The program was screwed up, but that's the state's archaic computer systems at fault. The effective date was Nov. 8, and some states still have yet to get a check. (My home state was one of 3 that was ready to go on time)
So, some "pork barrel" projects are good. But I agree, the useless ones need to go.
I agree with Bob in this instance and push for greater accountability in all transactions and deliberations in as many as possible.

The only infallible, unstoppable, guaranteed way to get a truly new Congress is :
NEVER REELECT ANY INCUMBENT! AND DO IT EVERY ELECTION!
• It gives us a one-term-limited Congress without using an amendment
• It encourages ordinary citizens to run for Congress
• It is supported by 70% of the country (see Rasmussen and Cato polls)
• It is completely nonpartisan
• If repeated, it ends career politicians in Congress
• It opens the way to a “citizen Congress” of guys like you and me
* It would open a torrent of fresh ideas to improve our government
• It ends the seniority system that keeps freshmen powerless
• It doesn’t cost money. But you MUST vote! Just don’t vote for an incumbent
• It takes effect immediately on Election Day
• When the ‘pros’ stop running, ordinary citizens will run and win
• If it doesn’t work, do it again and again! It will work eventually, without a doubt.
NEVER REELECT ANYONE IN CONGRESS. AND DO IT EVERY ELECTION!
Nelson Lee Walker of tenurecorrupts.com
I disagree with this approach, while I admire the spirit in which its stated. Getting anything done in DC takes an amount of skill that you don't just inherit overnight.

Those two gigantic Stimulus bills were forced, they had to have been forced by a power greater than either Pres. Bush or Obama. Bush's went to banks and big businesses? or just banks?
Then "Pres. CHANGE" got into office and quickly he did a stimulus but it, too was a scam. Had BO wanted to honestly STIMULATE our economy he could have given every taxpayer in our nation tens of thousands of dollars, each.
WE WOULD HAVE stimulate our economy. Every late mortgage would have been brought current, every credit card paid-off if not current, and the malls would've been busy with folks using the rest of the money to buy everything they needed and some of just what they wanted.
No, then we got reports of "missing stimulus money" no longer talked about and THEN not two months ago they passed another "JOBS CREATION bill!" for 155 Billion dollars! but! but they said the over 700 Billion stimulus package would create jobs. What's the truth here?
PS…….it is possible? even likely?? that Missing stimulus money has been secretly funneled somewhere, like to ACORN and Americorps? to start creation of that'
"Civilian Security Force" that BO and Rahm want?
Did you hear the reports of Communist Van Jones having been "Community Organizing" in our prisons?! I did. Organizing what? that coming Civilian Security Force? If our dollar devalues in hyper-inflation, it dies and we have a true economic crisis, will prisons be opened up because we can't feed or handle them all?
It is time to think the "unthinkable" because we are living in uncharted times with an obnoxious amount of CZARS serving the white house and those folks are horribly SCARY! I can post a list of QUOTES by them that can send shivers up any spine, nutty, "Scotty, Beam me up!" sort of stuff.
Ms. Teeter,
Take a breath. Its really not that bad. Presidents have had "assistants" for over 80 years. If I were the president, I'd want the ability to bring in people whom I could trust without having to have Congress agree with me. I refuse to use the term that Fox and CNN use in terming them as "czars". Its disgusting and a disrepect to the horrors the real czars actually did.
NY-David
Rather a eyebrow raising blog for a retired Commonwealth soldier.
Now the Sargeant believes he has the right to criticise his CiC in so called print.
Seeing that I take it he believes that ALL soldiers should have the right to name and criticise ALL the chain of command ?
Care to clarify your comment here, otago? To whom are you talking?
No one is criticizing anyone in their chain. Obama was elected and is subject to criticism before the "chain of command" comes into play, just as the shrub that came before him.
NY-David
@CJ, In your life, you move trough two absolutely separate worlds. You have your "Army Life", then you have your "Private Life". The latter focuses on your family's world alone. The "Army Life" takes more of your life than most people understand. But because of this, some people add to the list some *perceived* disciplines. We saw this at the school board meeting on uniform, in this case, you were operating in your role as a father, nothing more.
In your "Army Life", like some other functions of the US Government, are not to be political. Therefore, it appears that Obama is CIC and criticism is inappropriate. This is all part of his role of POTUS.
If Obama and the Democrats want to "reset" our democracy, lets give him a reset…to 1994.
The phrase "reset" is Democrat codespeak for throw out the constitution and put the Chinese socialist totalitarian constitution in its place.
The seven trillion dollar surplus created from 1995 to 2001 was accomplished by the Republicans…Clinton merely was obligated to sign on the dotted line…..including welfare reform. Unfortunately, people like Gingrich and House Whip, Tom, "the hammer" Delay (who was acquitted as you may recall) were hounded out of office because they listened to the media.
Today, we have politicians and their staff that spend 90% of OUR time and money on social and other media preening themselves for the next election, instead of looking out for us.
NYDavid, Sir….these nutty CZARS of BO's really "are that bad!" I'll give you some quotes so you can see for yourself. They have absolute contempt for America "as founded" and our freedoms in Capitalism.
"Regulatory CZAR" Cass Sunstein appears the most powerful of these czars. What an absurdly broad term for a job title! Regulating what?! Any and everything! Yep, we already have federal departments with dept. heads, etc….so why create Czars & waste taxpayers' money when we're in Economic hard-times, and give this guy a job??
Sunstein argued in a paper he wrote in '07 that our wealth should be "redistributed" to poor nations. He said "It is even possible that desirable redistribution is more likely to occur through climate change policy than otherwise, or to be accomplished more effectively through climate policy than through direct foreign aid." (This is Marxism, not a true American's way of thinking)
Sunstein, the nutty part…Sunstein was said to be editor of a book in '04 called "Animals Rights:Current Debates and New Directions" which stated that "animals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives."
BO has a "War Czar AND a Weapons CZAR! why? Every other president has gotten along just fine with these categories of govt. running just fine, without czars. Oh we have a Cyber Czar, a "WMD Policy Czar!" Good grief, so THIS is what he meant by "job creation?"
Then there was Van Jones, his "Green Jobs Czar!" Jones had publicly described himself as a "radical Communist" and "rowdy, black national!"
WHY on earth would an American President have a Communist in his administration? Jones stepped down after the media and a True Patriot, GLENN BECK on FOX exposed him, after worldnetdaily.com doing some stories on the guy. Surprise! he left his CZAR post, but reportedly still assists the white house. It was never condemned nor did BO apologize for having an avowed COMMUNIST on his staff. (I want to know how many still are)
We have a stimulus Czar, technology czar, Science czar, oh there's another really BAD one! John Holdren, Science Czar has a paper trail that shows he feels forced abortion, calling them "green abortions" would be acceptable. He also seriously suggested we do as China does, and allow only one child per couple/family.
Holdren also said that unwed mothers that refused abortion could have their babies taken from them and put up for adoption.
WHY did BO choose this guy, also??
FCC Diversity CZAR! oh this one is horrible, too. He called Venezuela's Hugo Chavez's Revolution "an incredible revolution." (dangme, I can't find the context he sang Chavez's praises but remember when I DID read it, it was creepy as if he intends to copy it, here in the US of A or something) He claims that from a regulatory standpoint that "the Fairness Doctrine was never repealed!"
Umm, yes, it was! is this guy removed from reality, OR….so confident he'll bring it back no matter what, that he's saying this stuff, thinking many voters won't know or care?
He is on record saying he has looked to Saul Alinsky and the campaign to prevent Judge Robt. Bourk from getting on the supreme court, for "inspiration and guidance!"
Do you know anything about Saul Alinsky?? Google him, if not! Our president must be enamored with him, too because just tonight I saw video of him as a professor, TEACHING Alinsky to students.
BO has an Information Czar AND an Intelligence Czar. Uhh…….why? What do they REALLY do? They don't have to answer to Congress, or you and I.
I suspect they are sort of like the "Civilian Security Force" our president wants……sort of like having his own, private "Shadow Govt." that answers to no one but him.
BO has a Mideast POLICY Czar and….a Mideast Peace Czar!! Huh?
BO has an Auto Czar, Ron Bloom AND an Auto Recovery Czar, Ed Montgomery~ Is that not enough absurd redundancy that even a five year old could see it is nonsense?
Take a breath? Sir, please take note of these things, do your research and see the evidence, tons of it……that our country was taken-over from within……..the only way our wonderful nation could ever be defeated.
THEY are radicals, Marxists, Communists….with contempt for Free Market Capitalism, and as BO said, they are determined to
"Fundamentally CHANGE" America.
I can't respond to how many assistants are enough, only that I wish other presidents drew from beyond their own experiences as this one does.
I will remark that I've had Marxists and Communists as teachers, as well as Jews and Hindus. They've all broadened my mind and enriched my learning. However, I still celebrate Christmas and preach about mine being the greatest country on earth.
NY-David
Ron Bloom said "We kind of agree with Mao, that
political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun."
Minute and half video of him saying this is right here..
glennbeck.com...e/198/32133/
There's more, much more online of these czars, their UnAmerican ideas and GlennBeck.com has a lot of them if you use his search engine and put "czar quotes" into it.
David, with all due respect, as I reply to your message here within the context that we are total strangers…
You reply to me about the number of Czars, ONLY?!! You don't even acknowledge that radical, hate-the-American-Way IDEAS of those BO has chosen to serve him privately?!
Sir, there is only one other thing I can reply to you, at this time, and it is,
"there's none so blind as those that WILL not see."
Thanks for your time~
Ms. Teeter,
I'm sure if I invested the time as you've done over the last four presidencies, I'd find something not to like about any of the people they picked to advise them. These people have no authority on executing policy as its ultimately up to the president.
The reason I don't look to refute the rest of your statement is that you use Glen Beck as an authority figure. I don't use Rachel Madow for the same reason. I admire Beck's patriotism, but he should stick to ripping off football logos.
NY-David
DavidNY, Glenn Beck has a professional team of paid researchers. I watch, I SEE the proof. NO ONE in this country has a better record of showing us FACTS. It is the Marxist, MSM that works day and night to make fun of folks that reveal this sickening stuff in the White House. Pure Psychopolitical Strategy. They don't debunk what Beck presents because
they cannot. If you can, please do, but you cannot because Beck, just like worldnetdaily, gives us the paper and Video trail of these folks, gives us the book titles and page numbers, shows us their College papers, and books they authored, etc.
These Communists are "telling on themselves" by the things they allowed to be recorded of their own agenda. Beck is merely presenting it to us, but clearly no one alive in our country today is a finer or truer Patriot than Beck. No apologies for using him as an authority figure on the Communists in DC. He has clearly proven he is one, on them.
I wish you well while I am sorry that you think my posts merely "finding things to not like" about BO and his disgusting assistants. Then again, some folks just can't allow themselves to see the horror before us. The greatest nation in the world has been taken-over from within.
I guess it's just shocking to converse with someone such as yourself that is presented QUOTES from folks from within our White House that are clearly UnAmerican….to nutty, and get replies of your being disintersted and unconcerned, but then you had professors like Ayers that ARE against our country and way of life, so you are desensitized to Communists and radicals that hate us.
You said "These people have no authority on executing policy as its ultimately up to the president."
Yeah, "these people" were chosen by him. For what? helping overthrow our govt? Yes, that is what is meant by "fundamentally chaning America." Those that voted for him did NOT comprehend or even dream of what TYPE of "change" his mantra meant. He knew and must've snickered about it during his entire campaign!
November can't come soon enoug so we can literally
Save this nation.
Thanks, David, it's been interesting.
Interesting for me as well. While I certainly don't doubt Beck's patriotism, many of his citations seem to be taken out of context. Obama's been in office for nearly a year and while I don't feel he's been perfect (took way too ling to figure out Afghanistan), I don't see any evidence of any government over throw in our midst. You also seem to be making liberal use of the word "Communist" and "Marxist". These notions were used in truly vicious and brutal ways by the Nazi's and USSR. You can't truly compare our current adminsitration, whoever is in charge to an organization that gave birth to the phrase "Night of the Broken Glass".
What I don't like about the superlatives you and others are using (it was the same with Bush) is that it clouds relevant discussion about the issues. I've yet to hear honest discussion about the "public option" from either side that isn't laden with rhetoric.
I think the two of us will save this nation. Just that we probably won't agree on what we are saving it from.
NY-David
David, I've researched BO more than I have any subject in my life. I was convinced before we voted over a year ago that he was a Communist/Marxist.
It is possible that you sincerely can't see what I see, as well as it is possible that you are a member of ACORN, and perusing the internet to try to make folks doubt themselves in what they see. I do understand Psychopolitics better than the average bear and that said in the context that a majority of voters have never even heard of it.
Why does BO want a "Civilian Security Force" as Big, well-funded and powerful as our military. (his words, not mine…the description there) We know Hitler had his SS so you put my mind at ease and explain this Peculiar desire of his, IF you can.
If this link still works, here he is sounding solidly Marxist, even using the term "redistribution of wealth" in saying our constitution doesn't go far enough in allowing for it and this was years before he slipped in saying it to "Joe, the Plumber."
youtube.com/w...=iivL4c_3pck
Are you aware of this Karl Marx quote?
"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalized and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to Communism." Karl Marx, Das Kapital: 1867
Did that send a proverbial chill up your spine? It did mine and still does. THIS has obviously been done to us and we have video of an old CSPAN tv broadcast from I believe, not sure and doesn't really matter the date, back in 2005 of the "then CEO" of Fannie Mae congratulating and thanking Barack Obama, along with other Democrats for having been the DRIVING FORCE behind Fannie having even back then written more "low income and minority" (SUBPRIME) mortgage business. Next, the link to this youtube of CSPAN.
youtube.com/w...=w_BB3HYWJfY
Look what some that are not even allies of our country are saying about us. This is shocking and it is so because it is true. THEY can see it and yet some in our country cannot, or will not. Next, a bit of their text and the internet link to their article right after it……
“The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?"
english.pravd...ts/107459-0/
It has become well-documented that Rahm and BO are using BULLYING tactics on even members of Congress! This report confirms this though I don't personally find it a bit surprising.
"WASHINGTON. D.C. – Following reports that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has been orchestrating an effort to intimidate members of Congress and Governors who raise legitimate concerns regarding the effectiveness of the stimulus, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a letter to Emanuel saying “While this type of scare tactic may work In Chicago, it will not work to intimidate me or other Members of the United States Congress."
Van Jones, a self-avowed Communist, CHOSEN to be the Green Jobs Czar by this peculiar president of ours….still no comment from you about him or the others. I saw video of BO's personal, very close friend, Valerie Jarrett back when BO first announced his choice of Jones, and she was proudly saying "they" had had their eye on Jones for years, since wayy back when he was in California, I think it was.
THEN I saw Glenn Beck present video of Jones, and papers or books written by Jones, quote after quote of things Jones said and did while IN that state years back! So, this proved that "they" in the white house knew he was a radical Communist and proud of it, HIS words, not mine, and you are bothered by ME using the words?
I rest my case instead of writing a book at this blog with most gracious and Patient hosts.
Glenn Beck continues to present FACTS as professionally as any attorney would and could in a courtroom. You'd do well in service to your country to watch him and learn.
I bow out now. Not easy to do cuz I'm a woman that loves getting the last word, but my ego must admit that the truths I have posted are not better served by me gainsaying you here. (grin)
It has been fun, and yes, interesting.
God bless you to save this country from what it truly needs saving from.
K~
I'm sorry, I don't like Beck.
His own words 'I'm not a journalist, I'm an entertainer."
The "facts" he uses are whatever Fox News decides are facts.
Let's see… Obama is intentionally collapsing our economy.
The White house threatened Sen. Nelson with pulling Offut Air Force Base if he didn't play ball on health reform.
We should abolish Medicare.
Calling U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu a prostitute. That she's hooking for Katrina related funds.
Obama is a racist who hates white people.
