C.J.
C.J. is an opinionated soldier who tells it like he sees it. He has been in the active duty Army more than 14 years. His assignments include such tropical paradises as Fort Irwin, CA, Fort Stewart, GA, Fort Meade, MD, and Redstone Arsenal, AL. He has been deployed to Panama, Ecuador and Iraq. His biggest accomplishment was getting invited to the White House by President Bush and President Obama for his writing at A Soldier’s Perspective.
He has been awarded the Bronze Star with V device, Meritorious Service Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC), Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Combat Action Badge and many other pieces of flair he doesn’t want to brag about. LL
LL was an Army dependent daughter and wife for 24 years. Going back to her grandparents, she is from a military family. She still supports military causes through supporting milblogs, sending care packages, attending troop support rallies and raising her kids to respect those who are willing to fight for our country. You may also recognize LL from her blog.
Marcus
Marcus is an active duty Marine with more than seven years of honest and faithful service to his country. He currently serves in South Carolina in the retention field. His family history of service includes his great-grandfather who served in the Army during World War II in the Philippine Liberation Campaign and his grandfather who served in the Army.
White Rose
Cindy, or “White Roseâ€, has been a member of the Patriot Guard Riders since 2005. She has been a truck driver for 20 years with the better part of three years in Iraq as a civilian contractor hauling supplies to our troops. She worked her way up to convoy commander in just a few short months. She is the mother of three boys, one of which served in the Army and was in Iraq at the same time she was. Cindy is not only a coauthor at A Soldier's Perspective but is the author of the book Cindy in Iraq: A Civilian’s Year in the War Zone, based on her own blog Cindy in Iraq. Her family has a long history of serving in the military and her love for our troops is evident in all that she does.
